Folky Fleur is the result of a course I took called Florals and Nature: A Design Masterclass from Make It In Design.

Here is the original drawing:

I can't recall how this drawing started, but it probably started with the center dots and I worked my way out. My favorite part of the pattern is that it only uses this flower drawing. I deconstructed it to create the motifs in the design. It's a fun challenge to get the most out of one drawing. The flower was recreated in Illustrator so I could have crips lines and the flower was even all the way around.

My first mockup of this design was on bowls.

I also created a simple coordinating pattern to go with it.

What colors would you like to see Folky Fleur in? Let us know in the comments.
