I grew up in a small town in northeast Indiana. In the 90's I rode the bus to school and the driver always played country music. She took no shit and had a big blonde bouffant hairdo. She was awesome! R.I.P Judy. 90's country music left a HUGE impression on my soul. As I sit here typing this I'm listening to the "90's Country Essentials" playlist on Apple Music. I listen to new country music, but I find myself listening to 90's country more.
Today's thought comes from a country song from 1992 called "Life's a Dance" by John Michael Montgomery. Just for perspective, in 1992 I was 9. Here is the full chorus:
Life's a dance you learn as you go
Sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow
Don't worry about what you don't know
Life's a dance you learn as you go
As a business owner I frequently think of this song. This song reminds me to give myself grace and to keep going in business and life in general. Even if you don't like country music, I hope the lyrics remind you to give yourself grace and keep on keeping on.
